Forensic Science
Application of science to law related matters is called
Forensic Science. With the increase of our knowledge and practical expertise in
forensic science, complexity and importance of forensic science related matters
presented to court has also increased.
Forensic Science encompasses a wide range from statistical
analysis of glass evidence to the growth of new molecules to assist in the
clear display of fingerprints remains. Some old and possibly new research
fields are as under:
·
Science Field.
·
Forensic Biology.
·
Physical Evidence.
·
Illegal Drugs.
·
Forensic Science Related to Environment.
Undergraduate Forensic Science
We are not suggesting undertaking an undergraduate course to
be preparative for Forensic Science, but we make a strong recommendation that
students must indulge them in one year chemistry course at university level. We
have students with major related to field of chemistry, biochemistry,
anthropology, geology, medical science, genetics, zoology and pharmacology.
However, specific undergraduate courses are essential to be taken as forensic
science majors:
·
If you are willing to do DNA analysis you should
take molecular biology and biochemistry as majors.
·
If you are willing to do physical evidence,
paint, glass or drug analysis than adopt chemistry as major subject.
